NSCA’s North Central Regional Coordinator provides oversight and training to local state and provincial directors. Jed Smith is the Director of Strength and Conditioning and an Exercise Science Instructor at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) where he has been a coach and instructor since 2005. Smith oversees 18 NCAA Division 1 sport teams, as well as the staff that trains them. Prior to joining the staff at UNI, Smith was a strength and conditioning coach for the Minnesota Vikings (National Football League team), Minnesota Wild (National Hockey League team), and Minnesota Thunder (United Soccer League team).

Andrew Shim is the Program Director of the Kinesiology & Exercise Science Program at the College of Saint Mary/Omaha, NE. His research involves stability and prioprioception in all age groups and functional abilities.

Chris Rivinius is the manager of Sanford POWER in Bismarck, ND which is an athlete development training center integrated with a team of sports medicine professionals. He is also an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, the University of Mary, for the exercise science department. Rivinius is passionate about athletic development and in his spare time enjoys training, reading, and spending time outdoors doing just about anything including hunting, camping, and watersports.
